With the No. 11 spot in U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings of schools released this week (public regional universities in the western United States), Fresno State’s University Outreach services office will participate in this year’s Fresno Area College Night from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Fresno Convention Center New Exhibit Hall. Prospective students and families can meet with representatives from community colleges, California State University campuses and private universities and colleges. Workshop sessions will cover the admission process, planning for college, scholarships and financial aid and African-American colleges. Hmong and Spanish translated sessions will be available. The free, public event is hosted by the Fresno County Office of Education and sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Parking in the surrounding lots is $7 per vehicle.
