Fresno State invites parents and family members to visit students on campus for the fourth annual Family Weekend, Oct. 3-4.

Registration closes Sept. 19 for the event presented by the Dog Days New Student Orientation office and the Division of Student Affairs.

Family Weekend begins at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, with a tailgate at the Bulldogs football game against San Diego State. Held at the Bulldog Diamond concourse (southeast corner of Cedar and Barstow), the tailgate will include a tri-tip dinner, adult beverages, music and door prizes.

Guests are invited to return to campus Saturday morning for tours and brunch with the Bulldogs spirit team, including mascot Timeout. The tour includes the Fresno State Winery, Gibson Farm Market, athletics facilities and more. The Gibson Farm Market will provide guests with a complimentary scoop of Fresno State ice cream and a goodie bag.

“Family Weekend is a great opportunity for parents and family members to come back to campus after school has begun and visit with their student,” said Jessica Medina, Family Weekend coordinator.

The full Family Weekend package (tailgate, football ticket, brunch and tours) is $70 per person, or guests have the option of creating their own package with each item sold separately.

Supplies will be provided for a care package workshop that guests can add when they register.

“All you have to do is put it together and add your special touches,” Medina said. “Bring something from home to add if you’d like.”
