Univision Fresno, Univision Bakersfield and Fresno State will host the first of four public debates in advance of the Nov. 4 election between candidates for California’s 21st congressional district, incumbent David Valadao and challenger Amanda Renteria.

The one-hour debate will be held at 11 a.m. in Fresno State’s North Gym on Saturday, October 4, and will air the following Saturday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. on KFTV Univision 21 in Fresno and KABE Univision 39 in Bakersfield.

The debate will be available for streaming on UnivisionFresno.com after its broadcast. Univision will also air the debate on its Fresno radio stations, KOND 92.1 FM, KRDA 107.5 FM and KLLE 107.9 FM, on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 8 a.m.

The debate will be conducted entirely in Spanish and will address topics of interest to constituents in the 21st district, including water and agriculture, the economy and immigration.

Attendance to the live debate will be by invitation only.
