The community is invited to attend the seventh Central Valley Honor Flight homecoming rally at 6 p.m. today (June 18) at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport to welcome home 67 veterans returning from Washington D.C.
Uniformed members of the Naval Air Station, Lemoore and the California Air National Guard 144th Fighter Wing will be on hand to provide a military salute as the veterans debark.
The flight departed Tuesday morning and veterans were sent off with Fresno State football coach Tim DeRuyter’s emotional remarks and alumnus Jack Hannah’s acapella version of “God Bless America.” Rally time is subject to the flight schedule. Updates will be posted on Twitter, @CVHonorFlight.
