Fresno State launches its celebrations of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) with “Bienvenida” hosted by the Latino Faculty and Staff Association from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, the anniversary of Mexican Independence Day. The free, public event will be at the Cesar Chavez Monument in the Peace Garden and will feature music, folkloric dancing, a resource fair and a raffle.
