The Cross Cultural Gender Center at Fresno State released its calendar of Hispanic Heritage Month events that began on cmapus last week with the Latina/o Faculty & Staff Association Bienvenidos event.

The calendar features more than 20 events, including Cross Cultural Week that begins at 11:30 a.m. today (Sept. 21) with a parade on campus from the Joyal building to the Speakers Platform north of the Madden Library.

Other highlights include activities for undocumented students, including a Dream Counselor’s Conference, 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 23) in the North Gym, room 118, and the Dreamers and AB540 Workshop and Panel, 5 p.m.–6 p.m. Sept. 29 in the University Student Union, room 308.

The calendar’s last event for the month-long observance is a presentation “Salvadorian Culture and Migration” from noon–1 p.m. Oct. 15 in the Speakers Platform north of the Madden Library.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking is $3 for a day permit at dispensers near campus entrances (see map).
