At the final lecture by U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera Wednesday night in Washington DC, the Library of Congress announced that he has been re-appointed to a second term. Herrera, who will deliver the keynote address for the 40th anniversary of Fresno State’s Chicano/Latino Commencement Celebration on May 21, has served the past year as Poet Laureate, the nation’s highest honor in poetry.
