The Jewish Studies Certificate Program will kick-off its three-part Jewish Studies Lecture Series with a presentation from Drs. Aron Rodrigue and Charles Michael on “The Jews of France from the French Revolution to the Present,” 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 in Agricultural Sciences (Room 109). Rodrigue and Michael, visiting professors from the Stanford Humanities Center who specialize in Jewish History, will address the history of Jews and anti-Semitism in France. The other two series events this semester are screenings of the French film “The Law (La Loi)” at 5:30 p.m.  Friday, Sept. 23, and the “The Merchant of Venice” at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21. Both screening are hosted conjunction with CineCulture and take place in the Peter’s Education Center Auditorium. The events are free and open to the public.
