“The Mining Economy and Indigenous Ethnic Identity in the Guanajuato-Michoacán Region during the Colonial Period” will be the topic of a presentation at Fresno State, 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 in the University Center (room 123). Sponsored by the Chicano and Latin American Studies and Anthropology departments, the free, public talk will be presented by Fernando Serrano, UCLA Ph.D. candidate in history with a  specialization in the Latin America. His research focuses on the colonial history of Mexico and the present-day states of Michoacán and Guanajuato. Parking is $3 for a day permit.
