(October 4, 2017) — At the Gandhi Candlelight Peace Vigil on campus today (Oct. 4), Fresno State will observe a moment of silence for alumna Kelsey Meadows and all 59 victims who died as a result of the Las Vegas shooting.

The vigil is the annual University observance of Gandhi’s birthday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Peace Garden (outside Madden Library) which includes a candlelight vigil promoting world peace.

The event and vigil will be dedicated to the Las Vegas victims, said Dr. Sudarshan Kapoor. Associated Students Inc. President Blake Zante will deliver remarks on behalf of students before calling for the moment of silence.
