Student-run theatre company brings Agatha Christie classic to stage

Fresno State’s Experimental Theatre Company announced its fall production, “And Then There Were None” by Agatha Christie. The production is directed by Fresno State student Jana Price, and will run Nov. 9 to 12 in the Lab School 101 Theatre.

In the production, 10 strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, the bloodbath begins and one by one they are brutally murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme.

One of Christie’s darkest tales and a masterpiece of dramatic construction, its growing sense of dread and unfaltering tension will keep viewers guessing to the very end.

Price calls the production “an immersive experience where even the audience will wonder if they’ll be the next to go.”

The cast includes Rodolfo Robles Cruz, Summer Session, Andres Navarrete, Samantha Martinez, Dylan Hardcastle, Aaron Price, Ian Jones, Michael Shane Flores, Allyssa Schneider, Andrew Trevino and Jalen Stewart.

Tickets are $5. The box office hours are noon to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Tickets will be sold at the door 30 minutes before show time.

Parking is free for shows on Friday through Sunday night. For the Thursday night show, parking permits are required and can be purchased at dispensers in parking lots on campus.
