The Fresno State Horticulture Nursery will host its annual spring plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.). Special prices are available for the organic and conventional spring season vegetable seedlings that are ready to plant in gardens and landscapes. The event is the nursery’s largest of the spring and will feature blackberry, blueberry, cucumber, eggplant, pepper, squash, strawberry, tomato, herbs and flower plants, seedlings and fruit trees. Shoppers can also find fresh citrus, new dried mango, apples and blueberry and chocolate swirl bark products raised or processed by the students on campus. Food processing unit students will offer samples of the mango, blueberry and cherry jam, and the campus meat lab will also offer samples and 20 percent off its bacon products.
