The community is invited to experience ‘ragajazz’ as the World Music Series presents the Arohi Ensemble at 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Concert Hall. With a heavy Indian music influence, their repertoire features original compositions and improvisations with influences from Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, jazz and western chamber music.

The seven-piece group is led by Paul Livingstone, Los Angeles based sitarist and one of the few American disciples of the legendary Ravi Shankar and Rajeev Taranath. The concert is sponsored by the Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts and co-sponsored by the Orpheus Chamber Music Ensemble. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $18 for seniors and $5 for students. Parking is free in lot P1.
