Fresno State and CSU Summer Arts are hosting an art lecture at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at the John Wright Theatre with award-winning artists, Daniel Keys and Richie Carter. Keys, from Fresno, is a noted Alla Prima oil painter who creates portraits, still lifes and landscapes. He is best known for his ability to infuse his artwork with brilliant color and light. Carter, also an Alla Prima painter, is well-known for his large-scale paintings that focus on Montana landscapes.
Carter has exhibited his art worldwide and was named one of the Best Young Artists to Watch in 2017 by Southwest Art.
