In recognition of Pride Month and Fresno State’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the University will raise a rainbow flag on Wednesday, June 9, at the flagpole on campus just south of the Thomas Building. A short ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m., culminating with the raising of the flag at 1 p.m.

Christopher Rodriguez, a recent alumnus of the Department of Music, will sing the National Anthem. Following this, President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval will speak about the significance of this event along with Fresno State staff, faculty and students, and special guest, Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer. A 6-by-10 foot rainbow flag will be raised on the flagpole, under the California flag.
