The Fresno State Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.) will host its biggest plant sale of the year from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15. Over 100 varieties of certified organic and conventional vegetables and herbs will be available outside the store. Discounted prices will also be available on annuals, houseplants, perennials and succulents located inside the store. All of the plants were raised at the campus horticulture nursery by students who will be at the sale to offer plant care tips.

Customers can also enjoy free wine tasting from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., sampling student-produced wines from the Fresno State Winery. Select almonds and other snacks will be on sale, and free samples of ice cream and meat products will be available. The market’s produce section will feature fresh strawberries, asparagus, grapefruit and oranges from the campus farm. Strawberry lemonade sherbet is also back in season from the campus creamery.
