The Bud Richter Weeks of Service will remember and honor the life of Elmer “Bud” Richter by engaging hundreds of Fresno State students, staff and faculty in service activities Nov. 4 through 18.

Several service events are planned as part of the week-long celebration of giving back. Individuals may also choose to serve with agencies or at events not coordinated by the Richter Center.

Events include a science day camp at Stone Soup on Saturday, Nov. 11; a children’s craft session at the East Fresno Boys and Girls Club and beautification day at Scout Island, both on Saturday, Nov. 18; and an on-campus blood drive Nov. 14 through 16. Volunteer opportunities are also available at the Hinds Hospice Thrift Store, Poverello House, Central California Food Bank and more at various times throughout the week.

Visit the Richter Center website for details about these and other service opportunities. Contact: Kayla Ferreira, 559.278.2339 or kferreira@csufresno.edu.
