A group of Fresno State Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program students connected with industry professionals at the MESA Student Leadership Conference held from Oct. 20 through 22 in San Diego. The invite-only STEM conference brought together hand-picked engineering and computer science students with industry to develop the next generation of STEM leaders. This year’s conference challenged students to design a product or service in about 30 hours, aimed at addressing one of the United Nations Sustainable Development goals.
