The “History of the Hmong New Year” event is an educational, impactful and informative experience for faculty, staff, students and community members. The second annual campus celebration of Hmong New Year will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Satellite Student Union.
The program will include special guest appearances, dance performances from community members, and a short film by the Hmong Student Association. Attendees will be treated to light refreshments and a sit-down dinner. Hmong attire is encouraged.
Sponsors for this event include Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, Technology Services, Hmong Student Association, Asian American Studies, Social Work Education, Asian Faculty and Staff Association, and Cross Cultural and Gender Center.
