Faculty, staff and students will host over 20 events showcasing their research, community and industry outreach efforts from Tuesday to Thursday, Feb. 13 to 15, at the 57th annual World Ag Expo at the International Agri-Center (4500 S. Laspina St. in Tulare). 

More than 100,000 people from around the world and nearly all 50 states visit the Tulare event annually to see the latest in farm equipment and technology. The world’s largest agricultural exposition will host nearly 100 in-person seminars and a wide range of industry exhibitors and special events.

Fresno State’s campus and its 1,000-acre University Agricultural Laboratory are located in the heart of the agriculturally rich Central Valley, which provides more than half of the fruit, vegetables and nuts grown in the United States.

Agricultural Ambassador students will host a campus information booth that opens at 9 a.m. each day in the education pavilion to share information about Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology programs with prospective students and the public in the Career and Education Pavilion (Booth 7002-03).

Rolston St. Hilaire, dean of the Jordan College at Fresno State, will host an ice cream social at the booth at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, followed by a visit by Fresno State’s live mascot, Victor E. Bulldog IV, at 11 a.m.

The campus Institute for Food and Agriculture is coordinating seminars Tuesday, Feb. 13, that cover a wide range of agricultural trends related to agricultural education and career skills enhancement, dairy product development programs and other food and poultry industry topics.

Water, Energy and Technology Center campus staff will host an innovation pitch event at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, featuring products and services from companies tied to the Blue Tech Valley and Valley Ventures accelerator programs.

Other presentations hosted by the California Water Institute will focus on the history and current state water rights, usage, management practices, issues and solutions from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday
