New stuffed toy donations will be collected before Fresno State’s men’s basketball game against UNLV at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Save Mart Center. The family of the late former Fresno State coach and student-athlete Jerry Tarkanian will launch the Tark Toy Drive to raise awareness about how strokes can affect all age groups. Donations, which will be given to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera and the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, can be dropped off at the Save Mart Center’s northwest entrance from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 6. Tarkanian, who also coached at UNLV, died about one year ago. Tickets for Saturday’s game start at $15 with all fire, police, paramedics, veterans and active military getting free admission for Heroes Night. Fans are asked to wear navy blue as part of a special Night in Navy promotion when the Bulldogs will give away 2,500 limited edition navy T-shirts, courtesy of Table Mountain Rancheria,  throughout the game.
