Applications are being accepted for the fall semester, which begins Aug. 29.

Part of Fresno State’s Step to College program, the class’ purpose is to encourage students to learn more about engineering as a possible college major and career choice, said Dr. William Wright, Fresno State engineering professor and coordinator of the program.

The cost is $9 for the semester-long class for which students receive college credit. Home-schooled students also are encouraged to apply, Wright said.

Applications are available from high school counselors and from Wright by calling, 559.278.5591, or via e-mail, wfwricilit@csufresno.edu.
