Dr. Alam Hasson has been named as the associate of the College of Science and Mathematics, effective June 1. Hasson earned his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Birmingham and was a postdoctoral research fellow at UCLA. Hasson has been a Fresno State faculty member since 2001, and has served as the interim associate dean in the college since August 2016. His previous roles at Fresno State included director of the Geosciences METRO Center (2009-13), director of the Institute of Climate Change, Oceans and Atmosphere (2011-14), graduate coordinator (2010-14) and chair of the Department of Chemistry (2014-16).
