The “Luba Lukova Designing Justice” exhibition will open with a reception at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan 31, at Fresno State’s Conley Art Gallery. Lukova will hold a public talk at 3:30 p.m. ahead of the reception as well as public workshops on Tuesday, Jan. 29 and Wednesday, Jan. 30.

Through Lukova’s use of an economy of line, color and text to pinpoint essential themes of humanity and her ability to succinctly visualize social commentary, her work is said to be powerful and thought-provoking. The exhibition, talk and workshops are presented by The Center for Creativity and the Arts, part of this year’s “Crossroads” theme, and are co-sponsored by the Department of Art and Design.

Parking is $4 at Lot P5. All events are free to the public. INFO: For more information on the public workshops, contact the Department of Art and Design at 559.278.2516.
