Dr. Jonathan Conlin, senior lecturer at Southampton University in the United Kingdom, and author of “Mr Five Per Cent – The many lives of Calouste Gulbenkian – The World’s Richest Man,” will give a presentation at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the Alice Peters Auditorium (Peters Building Room 191).

Born into the Armenian merchant elite of Istanbul in 1869, Gulbenkian was a renowned oil magnate who made his fortune as a business architect, persuading rival oil companies to collaborate in the Middle East. The lecture is free and open to the public.
