Benefit performances of “And Then Came Tango” will be at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28 at The Painted Table in Fresno’s Tower District (1211 N. Wishon Ave.). The penguin play tells the true story of Roy and Silo, two male chinstrap penguins in New York’s Central Park Zoo. The couple is given a discarded egg, hatches it and raises the baby chick, Tango, as their own. Tickets for Friday’s event are $100 and include dinner. The ticket price for Saturday’s performance is $15 with a menu available. Tickets must be purchased in advance at www.bulldogpride.org/. Proceeds benefit the Bulldog Pride Club and the Bulldog Pride Fund of Fresno State, an endowed scholarship established in 2006 that has awarded $75,000 in scholarships to 41 students.
