Fresno State Bowling Coach Chris Preble will be awarded Coach of the Year at the annual California United States Bowling Congress 2018 State Convention this weekend. The awards will take place at Hotel Picadilly in Fresno, located at 2305 West Shaw Ave. The awards banquet to honor recipients will take place 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9. Preble recently completed his 15th year coaching the Fresno State Bulldog Team with 2018 marking his ninth year as head coach. Preble is also a volunteer coach at the Central California USBC, where he helped establish a Learn-to-Bowl program along with a Youth Camp last year that was a huge success. Preble will receive the award from the State Association based on his years of dedication to the sport, his work with the Fresno State program, all his outside volunteer work coaching bowling, and his bowling career success.
