BowlCarlsonChamps15-001b webFresno State’s collegiate bowling team took the championship title in the Glenn Carlson Cup Competition, named after a former Fresno State employee and Bulldog bowling team founder.

The winning team members who have all been top 10 competitors this season under the direction of head coach Chris Preble include Parker Brooks, a sophomore majoring in computer information systems from San Bernardino; Riely Chin, a junior majoring in electrical engineering from Tracey; Gregory Colburn, a junior majoring in psychology from Fresno; Christopher Davidson, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering from Modesto; Joshua Taylor, a junior majoring in business management from Riverside; and Landon Yoshida, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering from Wahiawa, Hawaii.

The two-day competition, held April 4- 5in Arlington, Illinois, is named after Glenn Carlson who founded the Fresno State’s bowling team in 1970. He is honored because of his numerous accomplishments, awards and commitment to the collegiate sport. See video (01:00 to 02:04mark)
