Fresno State is accepting undergraduate student applications for the spring 2017 semester from new upper-division transfer applicants enrolled at nine Central Valley community colleges. The application deadline is Aug. 31.

The community colleges are Clovis Community College, College of the Sequoias, Fresno City College, Merced College, Modesto Junior College, Porterville College, Reedley College, West Hills College-Coalinga and West Hills College-Lemoore.

“Fresno State is impacted at the transfer level and, with limited space availability, upper division transfer applicants who have completed the majority of their transfer units will be considered from these schools only,” said Tina Beddall, director of admissions and records in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.

The University’s application period is closed for the spring semester to applicants who are first-time freshmen, lower division transfers, returning students and second baccalaureate students, Beddall said.

Applicants must meet admission GPA requirements with all transferable grades through summer 2016.

Students who meet the admission GPA by the end of summer 2016 can use fall 2016 in-progress courses to ensure the foundation requirements and/or 60 transferable unit minimum is met.

The GPA requirement will be determined based on the number of applications received and will not be determined until after the filing period is over.

Fresno State is also currently accepting applications for post-baccalaureate students. Students are encouraged to visit www.fresnostate.edu/academics/gradstudies/ for further information and deadline dates on the specific graduate program they are interested in.

Students can apply online using CSU Mentor. Information regarding spring admission and document deadlines is available online at www.fresnostate.edu/are.
